Cookie Policy

Last updated: March 2026

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and activity. Code4rge uses cookies and similar technologies (such as localStorage) to operate the platform.

2. Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the platform to function. They cannot be disabled.

  • Supabase auth cookies — Maintain your login session and authenticate API requests
  • cf_tier — Caches your subscription tier for up to 5 minutes to avoid unnecessary database lookups
  • cookie_consent_v1 — Stores your cookie consent preferences (localStorage)

Functional Cookies

These cookies remember your preferences to provide a better experience.

  • Theme preference — Remembers your dark/light mode selection
  • Editor settings — Stores your code editor preferences (font size, tab width)

Analytics Cookies

Code4rge does not currently use any third-party analytics cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before setting any analytics cookies.

Marketing / Advertising Cookies

Code4rge does not use any marketing or advertising cookies. We do not serve ads and do not track you across other websites.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies:

  • Stripe — May set cookies during the checkout process for fraud prevention and payment processing
  • Supabase — Sets authentication cookies to maintain your session

4. Managing Cookies

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through our cookie consent banner or through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning correctly.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Instructions for common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions

5. Data Retention

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies (such as the subscription tier cache) expire after their specified duration. Authentication cookies are managed by Supabase and follow their session policies.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new types of cookies, we will update this policy and, where required, request your consent before setting them.
